About the Campaign
“For Your Sweetheart campaign was developed to raise awareness to help people who have type 2 diabetes recognize that they’re at risk of cardiovascular disease.”
“The first lesson was that we had to come up with a new reason to get people to pay attention. Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease, the link, was not new. Campaigns had been done before, but there really was a very low awareness so we decided that we can’t just tell people the facts. We have to get them to have an emotional reason to engage with our message.”
